FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
