Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Allegations Connected to Player Rashee Rice
The NFL franchise released a comment on Wednesday evening stating they have knowledge of claims of abuse circulated in online accounts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and were in contact with the NFL.
The team omitted the name of the player by name in their statement and noted they would have “no further comment at this time”.
Allegations Posted on Social Media
The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, shared a series of photos on Instagram that seemed to depict signs of physical abuse. She stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with the football player, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have occurred.
Player's Recent Off-Field Troubles
The receiver was absent for the first six games of this season following an league-mandated ban for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that left multiple people hurt. He was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
Statistically, he finished the year with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Kansas City finished 6-11 and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a decade.
