On Monday, the tribunal heard phone records and information recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most covered investigations and remains unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

A separate recorded message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "What if there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? What then? Is that not important for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," the recording stated.

The jury was told that by means of emails, text messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, a data specialist with law enforcement who compiled the data, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted close associates of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

That day Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I will continue and I will prove my claim."

The court heard Mrs Spragg established a association online with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in the county in December 2024.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to express the media had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she should be considered genuine in the time preceding the appearance to Rothley, that area, in December 2024.

The court learned message exchanges between the two accused, in last November, planning endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her garbage or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We have to make a stand," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the visit to their house, the defendant dispatched a communication which stated: "We find ourselves sat adjacent to the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark similar to detectives. I had hoped to achieve this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
